The Religious Education program supports parents in their primary roles as educators of their preschool and elementary age children. It is meant to nurture each child’s loving relationship with Christ and His Church by providing religious instruction, sacramental preparation, service opportunities, and prayer and liturgical experiences with their peers.
Elementary Program (Grades 1-6)
Being offered from 4:15-5:30 pm or from 6:30-7:45 pm on Monday evenings.
Sunday Preschool Program (Ages 3-5yrs.)
Taking place on Sunday mornings during the 9:00 am Mass.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word (K-5th grade)
Taking place most Sundays during the 9:00 am Mass. Children are dismissed from the assembly after the opening prayer and return to their families in the church at the Preparation of the Gifts.
Sacramental Preparation Program
This program is for children in grades 1-6 who desire to prepare for celebration of Baptism, First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist. These children are integrated into an appropriate age level Monday Religious Education class. They also take part in family meetings and complete a home program for preparation of the sacraments.
Program for Children with Special Needs
Children with physical, cognitive, or other disabilities are welcomed and encouraged to participate in our Religious Education program. Children will be mainstreamed into the Monday sessions as much as possible with necessary adaptations made as needed.
